Katie Meyer’s Parents Say Potential Stanford Discipline Might Have Led To Suicide

The parents of a football star Katie Meyer say they fear a possible punishment by Stanford could have led to their daughter committing suicide earlier this week.
In an interview with NBC’s “Today” program on Friday, Steven and Gina Meyer say their daughter may have been disciplined in the alleged case of her and one of her cardinal comrades.

Both parents say Katie had received letters from the school in recent weeks about everything … and in the last few days she’d received “the last letter that there was going to be a trial or something.”
Gina thought everything could have led to a Stanford goalkeeper death on tuesday.
“This is the only thing we can come up with that triggered something,” Gina said.
The school declined to comment on the situation … stating in its “Today” statement: “We cannot share information about confidential student disciplinary matters.”
I was shocked to hear the news about Katie Meyer today. All my prayers to his loved ones, @StanfordWSoccer and size @GoStanford family.
