Prince William and Princess Charlotte were not the only Cambridge royals sporty feeling This weekend. On July 31st, Kate Middleton took part in the Great Britain sailing competition – and she made sure to look the part.
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the event in Plymouth, England, wearing a nautical ensemble of a navy and white striped sweater, white shorts with gold buttons, and white sneakers. Her hair was loose waves that she eventually pulled back into a ponytail while participating in some sailing of her own.
By PeopleMiddleton joined Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie to promote sustainability within his organisation 1851 Trust, which helps and educates young people to explore STEM fields. The couple met with a group of children to explore active ways to combat climate change and made seagrass mats that “improve ocean health” off Plymouth Sound.
When it came to the friendly “Commonwealth Race” on the south coast of England, Kate Middleton didn’t sit on the sidelines. In fact, the Duchess donned a GBR wetsuit and a gray baseball cap to join Ainslie and the rest of the crew on the catamaran.
