Jensen Ackles: Jared Padalecki is “Lucky To Be Alive” After Serious Car Crash

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padaleck became best friends after seeing them together at Supernatural.

Over the weekend, however, the former shocked and saddened fans by saying that the latter is super lucky at the moment …

… just to be alive.

Speaking at Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Official Conventions – a fan event in East Brunswick, New Jersey – on Sunday, Ackles revealed that his brother on display had been involved in a “very bad car accident.”

“I miss my friend,” the handsome actor told the audience on a video shared on YouTube and social media.

Added Ackles as explanation:

“She’s sending her love. I talked to her yesterday. She’s sad she can’t be here.”

The reason for Padaleck’s absence was probably known to most participants.

But Ackles said his close friend gave him permission to say at least the following:

“I don’t know if you know what’s going on.

“He was in a very bad car accident. He didn’t drive, he was in the passenger seat, and he’s lucky he was alive.”

super siblings

Yep, huh?!?

Ackles and Padalecki co-starred in the Supernatural for an incredible 15 seasons, showing siblings fighting the supernatural.

The series was a huge hit for The CW as much on the actors ’chemistry screen and for friendship as almost anything else.

“He’s at home recovering, which – the fact that he’s not in the hospital right now is blowing my mind because I saw the car,” Ackles also said on Sunday.

Ackles said the “airbag gives strength” and said Padalecki felt like he had “gone 12 laps [Mike] Tyson ‘after the accident.

“Keep him in your thoughts, send him love, if you get a chance on social media, then he’ll be back to us soon,” Ackles concluded on stage.

Although Jensen did not confirm the date of the car accident, the actress said Jared “did not drive, he was in the passenger seat” at the time of the incident.

He said, fortunately, “no deaths” occurred as a result.

Padalecki and Ackles

Following Jensen’s remarks, fans of the series quickly took to social media to share their support for Sam Winchester by raising #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki and #GetWellSoonJared on Twitter.

Padalecki previously went socially last Thursday to apologize for the lack of weekend festivities, appealing to both the program that made him known and the program he is currently performing in:

“Hey #SpnFamily!” Padalecki wrote.

“Sorry I miss you all in NYC this weekend. Thank you and #WalkerFamily for all the love and support. I can’t wait to see you again.”
