On Saturday night, Clovis native Jenna Prandini helped Team USA win the gold medal in the women’s 4x100m relay at the World Track and Field Championships in Eugene, OR. It was the first time the Americans won gold in the event since 2017.
The Clovis HS graduate and Olympic silver medalist ran a 10.05 split to run third for the Americans. Teammates Melissa Jefferson had a time of 11.35, Abby Steiner 9.86 and TeeTee Terry 9.88 in the anchor position.
The US foursome clocked 41.14 to just hold off a team from Jamaica, and the defending gold medalists clocked 41.18.
