As we report … Maynor survived breaking into Jacqueline and her husband ClarenceBeverly Hills home in December – and then opened fire with an “assault gun” when he met Jacqueline, who wasn’t with Clarence at the time. Maynor then fled the scene.
Jacqueline was taken to hospital but died of her injuries and died.
Photographs of the crime appeared soon after, and it looks like Maynor broke through the sliding glass door on the side of the property … leaving behind a ton of broken glass.
Prosecutors demanded a lengthy sentence, telling the judge Maynor praised and joked with friends about the situation on the prison phone. According to court documents, he also said he would expect to be up to 25 years old because prosecutors did not prosecute so-called “special circumstances” murders.
Jacqueline was deeply involved in her community, serving as president of the Watts neighborhood and on the board of the UCLA International Student Center. He was 81.
Clarence, of course, is known as the godfather of black music – he has had several classic records and albums in his hands over the years … e.g. Jay-Z, Diddy, LA Reid and others sing his praise for his influence on culture.
