Irvine: Teen accused of assaulting her girlfriend in Rivergate shopping centre

A teenage girl is accused of brutally assaulting her friend in Rivergate before allegedly violating a bail order to see her again on Valentine’s Day.

A 16-year-old teenager, whose name cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of attacking a 14-year-old teenager and causing him bodily harm at the Rivergate Mall on February 2.

Court documents allege that she grabbed her by the neck and removed her from the bench on which she was sitting before pushing her, calling for a fight.

She then allegedly kicked her in the body, causing her to fall and hit her on the head, causing her to bend over.

It is alleged that the accused then struck her several times on the body with her knees, causing her to fall to the ground, and kicked her several times on the body, injuring her.

The girl faces a second charge of violating court orders not to contact the victim by contacting her by phone between 12 and 13 February at Saltcoats.

It is alleged that she again violated bail orders by contacting her again the next day and spending time at her company at Riverway Retail Park on 14 February.

Bail was given and the case went on without a guilty plea.
