Irvine: Edgar Allan Poe-style short story competition

To celebrate the first Ravenfest in Irvine – a two-day festival celebrating Edgar Allan Poe’s life, work and time spent in town – Poetic Justice Productions launches a storywriting contest.

This group is looking for stories of up to 500 words in the style of horror and crime master Poe.

The first, second and third place prizes are £ 50, £ 30 and £ 20 in two categories, ages 5-17 and 18+.

Winners will have the opportunity to hear not only the prize money, but also their story being open to the public during the Ravenfest on October 29th and 30th, 2021.
