Here at TechCrunch, we spend most of our time talking to the founders. Investors are probably the second closest, but it’s definitely the founder at the top of the list. It’s communicated in our articles and events, but doing everything we do there only begins to scratch the surface of the many interesting stories out there.
That’s why we are excited to bring you Found, A new weekly podcast from TechCrunch that includes all the behind-the-scenes stories of the founders and startups. Each episode features interviews with various early-stage founders, hosted by me and TechCrunch’s managing editor, Jordan Crook.
These aren’t the conversations and pitches of your typical startup founder — they talk openly and honestly about what it really is like to set up a company and why you want to do it first. I will. We hear from the founders about their motivations to tackle big problems and endanger their financial success, and what they had to overcome to realize their startup dreams.
In the first batch of episodes, you’ll hear about epiphanies literally at the top of the mountain. Shift from teenage homeless to artificial intelligence company management. Get a medical degree in world-class business education to assemble a unique toolkit for entrepreneurship. And find inspiration for a world-changing business that essentially collects dust at NASA’s laboratories.
Found is about all of the above, but it’s also about hearing real stories from real-world founders around the world about how successful they are, such as sourcing venture capital, pivoting businesses, building teams from scratch, and more. ..
Our first episode will debut tomorrow — Friday, April 9th — but you can subscribe Apple Podcasts Or Spotify Listen to the trailer now (or wherever you find the podcast) and premiere it when it’s available. After that, a new episode will be released every Friday afternoon.
I love the conversations I’ve had at Found so far, and I think you’ll.
