Mystery had surrounded the two dead after workers at the golf course saw the car in the Stanislaus River.

Police said the car matched the description of those described in the investigation into missing persons.

Ripon Police Chief Ed Ormonde has now revealed that the couple drowned after Gama rode off a 19-foot embankment.

Ormonde confirmed their deaths were an accident; officials are now awaiting toxicology reports to see if alcohol or drugs were a factor.

The longtime friends from Stockton have been at the country club for a wedding before disappearing, Alyssa’s father, Phalnithaba Ros, said.

They had plans to drive back to Modesto, where Phalnithaba lives, after the wedding.

FATHER mourns DAUGHTER

Alyssa was a student at California State University in Los Angeles, studying business and communications.

Her heartbroken father described his daughter as an “outgoing and beautiful” person.

“She was outgoing, you know, beautiful, had a glowing white smile, and she was one of those high school fashionistas,” he said. ABC 10.

Phalnithaba, who also attended the wedding, said he had to spend his night shortly after receiving a call that his other children did not stop crying at home.

He rushed back home, forgetting to say goodbye to his daughter,

“I called her and she said, ‘It’s okay, Dad. I’m fine. You know, just go take care of the boys. I’m around family. Nothing will happen to me,” he advertised.

About an hour later, he said that Alyssa called him to let her know that she, her friend and some other wedding guests were on their way to his house.

“Everyone comes up to my house, and my daughter does not come with her friend. And I asked myself, ‘What’s going on?’ “I’ll call her. It’s dead,” he told the outlet.

‘I just broke’

Phalnithaba called her friends phone, but the call went straight to voicemail.

“I just called every few hours to see if they had charged their phone. No one was recording,” he said.

On Tuesday, Phalnithaba received a screenshot of a friend who showed an employee of the Ripon Golf Course saying he had found two missing girls dead in the Stanislaus River.

He walked to the golf course and learned that the deceased victims were his daughter and her friend.

“My heart just fell out of my chest, you know, and I just broke down. That was something I just did not want to hear. It’s untrue,” he said.

Alyssa’s stepmother, Kimlyn Ros, intervened GoFundMe to help the family pay the funeral expenses.

“We will forever cherish the time and memories we were able to spend with Alyssa as we watched her grow into a beautiful young woman,” Kimlyn wrote.

“Alyssa was a person who saw the good in each of us. Her energy radiated through everything around her, and her heart was so real.

“She wanted the best for all the people she knew, and for all that was around her. She made that perfectly known for her charismatic personality.

“She was so free-spirited, friendly, strong, and so intelligent. She was so so beautiful inside and out.”
