I cannot secure a job despite years of experience. What should I do?

I have built two decades of top-level expertise in banking and consulting. I did a master’s degree in business administration, got a job and then left my office not long after I returned. I spent a few years in government and then went to private capital. But over the past two years I have struggled to get a full-time job despite expertise in ESG, good networking and positive feedback from the heads. I am losing my self-confidence. What should I do?
