House Fire in Mountain View Displaces 4, Causes $60,000 in Damage


Four residents were evacuated after a fire damaged $ 60,000 in a house in Mountain View, fire officials said Sunday.
San Diego Fire Department Crews were dispatched to the fire at 23:45 on Saturday at the 3600 block of Ocean View Boulevard, according to an incident log.
Crews saw smoke and flames coming from a room attached to a detached house and extinguished the fire by 1:51 a.m. Sunday.
Two adults and two children needed help from the Red Cross.
Investigators found that a heating element in the bedroom caused the fire.
They estimated the damage to the structure at $ 50,000, along with $ 10,000 damage to the content.
Crews received no reports of injuries.
