SANDRA Martin was hit by a driver in a hit-and-run crash last month while driving in downtown Los Angeles. Now the police are looking for the man who did it.
Shocking video shows 61-year-old woman being hit on the ground after being hit by a four-door passenger car.
Martin said the driver got out of the car after she was hit to get her out from under the car. After that, he got back in the car.
“Before he got back in his car, the driver was asked by Martin when he left, and his response was, ‘I’m sure,'” a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department read.
“The driver fled the scene without giving assistance and identifying himself.”
According to police, the driver is thought to be 25 to 30 years old, with a lean build and approximately 170 to 190 kilos.
There is no description of the suspect’s car other than the fact that it is a four-door car.
Martin was seriously injured, which according to the police required an operation.
As a result of the accident, Martin lost her pet Chihuahua Terrier named Little Man. She asks the audience to keep an eye on the pooch.
Martin had carried the dog at the time of the accident and Little Man had run away when Martin was beaten.
“We want to remind everyone involved in a traffic accident to stop and check on the other parties to make sure they are OK, call 9-1-1 if they need medical attention and to exchange information.” wrote the LAPD.
“Do not turn a car accident into a crime.”
Anyone with information about the driving car and driver or the whereabouts of Little Man the Dog is told to contact the LAPD.
