Leading hip hop artist DJ Kay Slay has died of complications from COVID-19.
DJ Kay Slay Keith Grayson was born. He confirmed in a statement released by his family on HOT 97 radio that he died at the age of 55 on Sunday, where he gave “The Drama Hour”.
Grayson grew up in Harlem immersed in the early hip hop scene of New York. Graffiti artist began as a teenager and appeared in the 1983 hip hop documentary “Style Wars”. He released his first studio album in 2003 and has worked with major stars such as Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Jadakiss and Busta Rhymes.
Family statement he said“A leading figure in hip hop culture with millions of fans around the world, DJ Kay Slay will be remembered for his passion and excellence with a legacy that will be passed down through the generations.”
