CAJON PASS, California (VVNG.com) – Traffic on the I-15 highway in the southern direction in the Cajon pass is completely stopped due to the investigation of the fatal accident.
The collision was reported at 1:49 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, north of Highway 138.
According to the records of the incident of the California patrol on the highway, a motorcycle, a semi-trailer, a silver Honda and a dark blue Kia were involved in the collision.
According to records, the motorcycle was down on the road, and the person who reported it was outside with someone involved in the collision who was injured and did not react.
San Bernardino County firefighters had to break through a traffic jam and arrived at the scene around 2:25 p.m. Firefighters confirmed that one person died and at least two people were slightly injured.
At around 14:00, a Sig Alert was issued because all the lanes for the south had been blocked for at least 90 minutes. CHP is working to reopen at least one lane.
The coroner was advised to respond to the scene. This is an evolving story and additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
UPDATE at 14:50 – Traffic on the southern I-15 is now supported to Joshua Street in Hesperia.
UPDATE at 15:00 – CHP reopened lane no.3 and reported that lanes no.1, no.2 and no.4 will remain closed during the investigation.
