High-speed chase involving murder suspects ends in Kern

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (KERO) – Officials say the high-speed harassment of two suspected murders that began in St. Louis Bishop’s County on Wednesday has ended in Kern County.

San Luis Bishop officials said the two suspects were wanted in Santa Barbara County on several charges, including a murder on Sunday.

Deputies from St. Louis Bishop saw the suspect’s car near the highway. 46 and Golden Hill Road at Paso Robles on Wednesday, but lost sight of him.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter spotted him heading east of the highway around 5:30 p.m. 46 Kern County.

Once they crossed the border into the region, the suspects went to a nearby orchard, they said.

Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived and arrested the suspects.

The KCSO is working to enforce Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County law while investigating and filing allegations.
