Authorities on Friday asked for help to find a 6-year-old Spring Valley girl who was allegedly abducted this week by her mother, who has no legal custody.

School officials saw Kempton Elementary School Schoolgirl Jolyn Gutierrez walks off campus near Jamacha Avenue and Route 125 with 45-year-old Wendy Gutierrez early Tuesday afternoon, according to San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

About two hours later, surveillance cameras captured images of mother and daughter at a fast food restaurant at 3100 block of Plaza Boulevard in National City, and the next day a man reported seeing a woman and a child matching their description passing by. in Mexico on foot.

Gutierrez is wanted on charges of kidnapping. Described as Latina, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and about 120 pounds, with hair dyed bright blue. At the time of the last known sight, she was wearing gray-black camouflage pants and a white hooded sweatshirt with a zipper and was holding an umbrella.

Her daughter, about 3 feet tall and with long brown hair, was wearing a black sweatshirt with zippers and black boots at the time of her disappearance.
