The live question and answer period will last 30 minutes.

The forums will also be broadcast live via webinars, although they will be viewable only and not interactive. Links to live forum webinars will be posted on hartnell.edu/about/president/search/finalists.html.

The President of the Governing Board, Erica Padilla-Chavez, thanked all the candidates who presented themselves during a nationwide search and the 17 members of a search committee that included students and representatives of university bargaining units, university management, key industries in the Salinas Valley and the Hartnell College Foundation.

“We sincerely appreciate the time investment of the research committee members and their thoughtful work in reviewing the candidates taking into account the best interest of Hartnell’s students,” Padilla-Chavez said.

The Board intends to approve the appointment of Hartnell’s new Superintendent / Permanent Chair at a special board meeting on March 22, with a scheduled start date on July 1.
