H Mart Brings K-Town Food Hall to San Francisco

The irony of buying groceries is that after packing a lot of basic essentials in a reusable tote bag, most of the time you’re too tired and hungry to make a supper with your recently purchased greens. I can’t.

Then it’s good that H Mart, a popular Korean grocery chain coming to San Francisco, has covered you with their mega food court.

The food court, officially known as the “K-Town Food Hall,” plans five restaurants or bakeries that serve Korean, food fusion, and Chinese cuisine. It may sound familiar, like Deho, a Korean restaurant in Japantown, or Milpitas, which opens a third store at H Mart Ingleside Heights. Oho is known for its beef soup and rib-jjim. This is a stewed rib-jjim that can be finished with vermicelli, rice cakes, or melted light burnt cheese. Left Wing, a Korean fried chicken chain, brings crispy, garlic-fried spicy wings to the K Town Food Hall. Also on the list of delicious dishes are Da Pan and Da SFC, two restaurants focused on stir-fry and casual cuisine.

“H Mart San Francisco ensures that customers can really enjoy’delicious food for everyone’,” H Mart President Brian Kwon said in a press release, adding to the grocery chain. He added that he was ready to go on. Expectations. H Mart already has more than 90 locations nationwide, including two in San Jose.

After that, H Mart plans to open the Paris Baguette, a fusion bakery of Korea and France that already has several locations throughout the Bay Area. Grab one of the Paris baguette cream croissants, or a slice of a fully layered fluffy cake and conclude your post-food meal with a dessert.

The grocery store starts things at the Ribbon Cut Ceremony on April 21st at 9:50 am Coincidentally, indie rock singer-songwriter Japanese Breakfast (or Michelle Sauner) is her first in San Francisco. Get the first H Mart the day after the release Biography, Crying at H Mart, And 2 weeks before Zauner joins Saturday night liveBowen Yang for conversations in its own City Arts & Lectures. If you’re still interested in the hype about the opening of a grocery store, you don’t have to look for the first page of Sauner’s new memoirs.

“H Mart is a gathering place for parachute kids to find a brand of instant noodles that reminds them of their homes. It’s a place where Korean families buy rice cakes to make tteokguk, a beef and rice cake soup that brings the New Year. It’s the only place where you can find huge tubs of peeled garlic, because it’s the only place where people really understand the amount of garlic they need for the type of food they eat. H Mart Freed from the “ethnic” section of a single aisle in a regular grocery store. It does not support the Goya beans next to the Sriracha bottle here. “
