Good Samaritan saves toddler in bay after Ocean City crash

Good Samaritan on Sunday jumped into the bay to save a toddler in Ocean City, Maryland. The toddler fell into the water below after being expelled in a collision. Seven others were also injured, according to the Ocean City Fire Department. Security guards said they were called to Maryland State Highway 90 Bridge at 2:47 pm due to a vehicle collision in the middle of the guardrail. A one-year-old child was expelled from a vehicle wobbling on a guardrail and landed in Asawoman Bay below. Officials said the Good Samaritan jumped over the guardrail and jumped into the bay to rescue the infant. Firefighters fixed the vehicle with rescue equipment while paramedics were treating multiple patients. According to police, seven people were taken to the hospital and the girl was taken to the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore. As of Monday, the 2-year-old girl remains stable at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Everyone else injured has been released. The Good Samaritan wanted to remain anonymous.
