Gas Leak Forces Mission Valley Businesses to Evacuate


Several businesses were evacuated Monday after a gas leak in a business square in Mission Valley.
San Diego Fire and Rescue Crews cleared the area around 4242 Camino Del Rio North, near Interstate 8 / I-15, after a two-inch gas network ruptured at about 8:30 a.m. They were working to clear the scene with San Diego Gas and Electric.
A coffee shop, a gas station, a car wash and other businesses in the area will be affected for an unknown period of time, officials said.
No injuries were reported.
