Montebello — On Friday morning, a Union Pacific freight train collided with a vehicle on Montebello’s railroad tracks, affecting the Metrolink Riverside Line.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred near Union Street and Rosemead Boulevard at around 4:10 am.
The cause of the crash is unknown, but no injuries have been reported, Fox11 said.
The accident closed the westbound railroad track between Industry and Montebello stations on the Metrolink at around 4:45 am, delaying the Riverside Line 401 to Los Angeles.
At around 5:20 am, Metrolink announced that the train on Line 401 was in operation, but there was a 15-minute delay due to the collision.
