Marine Corps Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews hosted a heroine on Friday after spending months nursing at the Walter Reed Medical Center. A Folsom native was one of 18 service workers injured last August in a suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan. touch “home country” again at Sacramento airport. Marine Corps Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews hosted the hero on Friday after months of treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center.

A native of Folsom was one of 18 workers injured last August in a suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Nearly a year later, he once again touched the “home ground” at Sacramento’s airport. He was greeted by a large crowd of Folsom with signs of congratulations.
