Emmy Nominations 2022: Who Scored Big? Who Got Snubbed?

It’s that time of year again—the nominees for TV’s biggest night were announced this morning at a ceremony hosted by Melissa Fumero and JB Smoove.

Or maybe we should call it streaming biggest night, with about half of this year’s top nominees not available on the cable network.

And only one of the best shows – NBC’s Abbott Elementary – is a web series!

It’s a set of circumstances that would have been unimaginable a few years ago, but industry insiders and the public alike have grown accustomed to the growing number of streaming devices and premium cable.

HBO was the big winner of the day with two programs – Collection and White lotus to bind the perennial favorite of AppleTV Ted Lasso the most candidates.

Beloved Netflix drama Squid game also came up big with 14 nominees.

The South Korean series also enjoys the distinction of being the first foreign-language show to be nominated for Best Drama.

As for dolls, Yellowstone and its spinoff 1883 both went uncredited, as did Selena Gomez and Sadie Sink for their roles Just the murders in the building and Strange thingsrespectively.

Both the Actors received widespread acclaim for their performances and we are sure that they have many awards and accolades ahead of them.

Hell, their future is brighter than the future of all the major networks combined!
