Emergency shelter for migrant children at Pomona Fairplex permanently closes its doors next month

Los Angeles, CA (KABC)-Emergency shelter Pomona Fairplex, which houses immigrant children The store is scheduled to close completely next month.

The emergency intake area opened in May and was able to accommodate as many as 2,500 children.

The shelter was one of several shelters operated by the US Department of Health and Human Services in response to the influx of unaccompanied minors at the border.
