A man from El Cajon was behind bars on Friday on suspicion of child sex trafficking crimes involving girls he allegedly groomed for prostitution online.

Antoine Lamar Haynes, 21, was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of harassing minors, sending harmful material to minors and was a criminal who was in possession of a firearm, according to El Cajon Police Station.

At the time of his arrest near the Fletcher Parkway Mall, Haynes was allegedly in possession of an undetectable “ghost weapon,” said ECPD Lieutenant Keith MacArthur.

Investigators have identified at least two alleged victims in the case and believe that Haynes met the girls through mutual friends and then developed “explicit” relationships with them through social media.

Haynes was being held at San Diego Central Prison without bail is pending trial, scheduled for Monday afternoon.
