HESPERIA, California (VVNG.com) – A driver who died after a collision with a campground on Father’s Day has been identified as a 21-year-old Javier Bueno Jr. of Hesperia.

On June 19, 2022, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the Barstow Dispatch Center received 911 calls regarding an accident that occurred at the intersection of Ranchero Road and Cascade Avenue, within the unincorporated area of ​​San Bernardino County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a preliminary investigation revealed that the 2022 Chevrolet Motor Coach was traveling west on Ranchero Road approaching the intersection with Cascade Avenue while the 2005 Toyota Scion TC was traveling east on Ranchero Road approaching the same intersection.

“The driver of the Chevrolet turned left directly into Toyota’s trajectory. As a result, the front of the Toyota hit the right side of the Chevrolet, “said in a press release.

Officials said the male driver of the van sustained minor injuries and remained at the scene.

Javier was trapped in the damaged Scion and had to be pulled out by San Bernardino County firefighters. He was transported by ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The CHP said there was no suspicion of alcohol or drug damage.

Javier’s sister named Crystal Guzman approached VVNG and said her brother had just turned 21 in May. Crystal said Javier worked as a direct support specialist (DSP) for people with disabilities and was on his way home when the accident happened.

“My brother was a caring person full of love and always did his best to help everyone in need. He was always the first to help with anything. He loved playing basketball with his nephews, relatives, brothers and sisters. He was a prankster and always knew how to make anyone laugh when it was needed. He loved playing video games and watching movies with his family, ”Crystal said.

Crystal said that last day, the father’s family did not gather for fun activities as usual, but gathered as a family to pray and try to be strong for their mother.
