Domestic violence suspect arrested after hours-long standoff with Fresno police

FRESNO, California (KFSN) – A suspect in domestic violence was arrested after hours of confrontation with Fresno police on Friday.

Police say they received a call of domestic violence at a Lowe’s in northern Fresno around 10 a.m.

Authorities were able to locate the suspect in an apartment in Barstow and 3rd, but he was not cooperating.

A negotiator and the SWAT team were called in to assist in the confrontation.

The police finally managed to arrest the man. He was slightly injured during the arrest and taken to the Community Regional Medical Center.

Police say he is a man in his 40s and faces multiple charges, including domestic violence, gun charges and stalking.
