Disney Planet Possible Movie and TV shows to watch this Earth Month

Polar Bear

Every day is an adventure for this polar bear mother and her little ones. Narrated by two-time Oscar nominee Catherine Keeneer, Disneynature“Polar Bear” tells the story of a young mother, whose memories of her youth prepare her to navigate motherhood in the increasingly difficult world that polar bears face today. Stream “Polar Bear” in Disney + starting with Earth Day, Friday 22 April.

Explorer: The Last Tepui

The special for Earth Day Disney + “Explorer: The Last Tepui”, by National Geographic, follows select climber Alex Honnold and a world-class climbing team led by National Geographic Explorer and climber Mark Synnott on a grueling expedition deep into the Amazon jungle as they attempt a first ascent of a 1,000-foot cliff. Their goal is to deliver the legendary National Geographic biologist and explorer Bruce Means to the top of a huge “island in the sky” known as tepui to search for undiscovered species. On Earth Day, find out why tepui – like the Galapagos – are a biodiversity treasure worth protecting. “Explorer: The Last Tepui” airs only on April 22 Disney +.

The Biggest Little Farm: The Return

This Disney + Special Earth Day from National Geographic is based on the 2018 award-winning documentary that tells the story of John and Molly Chester, who leave their urban life in Los Angeles to live on a barren farm and grow delicious food in harmony with nature in Ventura County. “The Biggest Little Farm: The Return” follows the 10-year tireless journey of the farmers as they transform the land into a magical working farm and record the process. On this Earth Day, see how farmers use the interconnectedness of nature to help build soil health, maximize biodiversity, and regenerate food with the greatest possible nutritional value. The secrets of whales

Dive deep into the heart of whale culture, where you will learn that whales are much more complex and human-like than we ever imagined. Featured by Oscar-winning director and ecologist James Cameron and narrated by Sigourney Weaver, “Secrets of the Whales” invites viewers to experience the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures of five different species of whales. The Emmy Award-winning series reveals new science and technology to highlight whales as they make lifelong friendships, teach heritage and traditions to their young, and mourn the loss of loved ones. All four episodes of “Secrets of the Whales” will be shown National Geographic and Nat Geo WILD for the first time on Earth Day starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Branching Out: A Nat Geo Earth Day Adventure

This special day of the Earth from National Geographic and ABC Localish follows ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee, her beloved husband Ben Aaron and their two children on an eco-friendly road trip to amazing natural destinations across America. From tree tops to beaches, this family discovers new ways to explore and restore our planet with National Geographic explorers along the way. Stream the specialist The National Geographic YouTube channel and the ABC Local Network starting April 18 and watch it on local TV stations ABC, ABC.com and Hulu Live during Earth Week.

Disney Animals: In the Funhouse

Disney Animals: In the Funhouse shorts take kids and families on a wild ride around the world to explore Disney animals in their habitats. In April, two new short films will premiere Disney Junior YouTube and DisneyNOW. The episode “Trees” aired on Tuesday, April 5th and the episode “Farm” will premiere on Tuesday, April 26th. In addition, Disney Animals shorts will be broadcast live worldwide from Monday 18 April to Saturday 30 April on Disney Junior YouTube.
