Discussing San Diego’s rise in violent crime with the San Diego Police Officer’s Association –

SAN DIEGO (COUSSI) – City leaders have said crime is on the rise here in San Diego.

In the last two months alone, police have investigated 10 homicides.

This marks an increase of 80% compared to the same period last year.

Chief David Nisleit said his officers also responded to 44 non-lethal shots as well as multiple attacks with gang and domestic violence on the rise.

City leaders reiterated their concern.

Jared Wilson, president of the San Diego Police Officers Association, joined KUSI’s Elizabeth Alvarez at Good Morning San Diego to discuss the rise in violent crime.
