Devil May Care ice cream in Sacramento closing its doors for good

A downtown Sacramento ice cream shop known for its unique flavors has announced it is closing for good. In a series of social media posts, the owners of Devil May Care Ice Cream and Frozen Treats said their business had been served with an eviction notice. They struggled to stay afloat during the pandemic and pay the expenses that piled up. “I think it just helped a lot of people get together for ice cream and I think people really enjoyed it. It was different flavors, different things, so I think it meant a lot of different things to a lot of different people,” said customer Gavin Chan. The ice cream parlor first opened a location in 2016 before closing it and opening its current location on K Street. The weekend of July 23rd will be their last weekend. The owner thanked his staff and customers for their support.
