ADELANTO, California (VVNG.com) – Deputies in Adelant found the stolen U-Haul and arrested documented gang members, officials said.
On Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 10:56 a.m., Deputies D. Peterson and K. Schuler stopped a U-Haul truck for violating the California Vehicle Code, near Wakefield Street and Binford Avenue in Adelant.
Vehicle driver, 20 years old Albert Cleveland, drove without a license. During the search of the vehicle, the deputies found about 3.5 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
U-Haul was reported stolen from the city of Victorville on April 12, 2022.
Cleveland and a passenger in the vehicle identified as 45 years old Mario Cleveland, were arrested without incident. Officials said both suspects were documented gang members and were being held at the High Desert Detention Center without bail.
Two years ago, in February 2020, the VVNG reported an arrest 2 adelanto men for burglary and other charges. At the time, 18-year-old Albert Cleveland was one of the arrested men.
