HESPERIA, California (VVNG.com) – The cyclist was transported to the hospital after he was injured by a driver who fled to Hesperia.
It happened around 3:30 p.m., May 4, 2022, at the intersection of Main Street and Fith Avenue near the corner of Fast Trip Liquor.
Ambulance staff arrived and found a black mountain bike near the approach to the gas station along with the driver who was on the ground.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that the victim was transported to the hospital and that there was no news about his condition.
Rodriguez said the investigation is still active, but a collision appears to have taken place at the site.
“At this moment, the driver of the vehicle is not in custody,” the spokeswoman said.
Deputies blocked part of Fifth Avenue while conducting an investigation.
