Clayton Echard Fears The Bachelorette Burns Could Lead to Cyberbullying

Competitors on the Bachelorette premiere this week did not hold back.

Several of the men took cheap shots at Clayton Echard.

On the other hand, it makes sense. All these guys aren’t competing for just one thing two About Clayton’s ex.

But… what does Clayton himself have to say about all this?

Clayton Echard on the Hot Seat

Clayton and girlfriend Susie Evans were both guests at Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off The Vine podcast on Monday.

“When I saw the episode,” he recalled, “I was very happy to feel like, you know, ‘It’s not personal, it’s business.'”

Clayton added, “And I’m happy with where I am today.”

“I work on things I want to push [on]”, Clayton then stated.

“I am chasing my true purpose and passion in life, finally for the first time,” he confirmed.

“And I think through all the war and everything I went through,” Clayton said, “here I am because of this whole environment.”

“So when I saw the show,” Clayton admitted, “the episode and all the attacks and the singing, the chorus.”

Then he joked, “I’m going to chase those parents.”

Clayton admitted: “Honestly, I didn’t get a reaction other than laughing.”

Clayton narrowed down his aspiring wives on The Bachelor season 26 to Gabby, Rachel and Susie.

Gabby and Rachel weren’t the only ones roasting Clayton. And their burns were the mildest.

As Clayton indicated, Alec brought in a small children’s choir to sing “Clayton Sucks.”

And Johnny referred to Clayton as “the st piece.” Hard.

Susie looked too.

He judged that Clayton had “handled it better than I did”.

Susie openly admitted that she was “pissed off” by the offensive theatrical performance.

“Like, come on,” Susie then said. “Clayton has given, you know, he can laugh at himself.”

He continued, “And I can laugh at Clayton. And I can laugh at myself.”

“But also,” Susie said, “my fear is like, ‘Is this going to open up a cartridge for all the hate and stuff?'”

“So there I was,” Susie explained then, “like, ‘Oh my God, really?’

Then he noted the contrast: “But Clayton definitely went with the flow.”

Susie added: “He could laugh.”

Clayton then stated that he “found light in it”.

But he admitted it wasn’t necessary. The episode didn’t need to drag his name through the mud.

And Clayton reminded listeners — and perhaps producers — that there could be consequences.

“Do I think that’s what should have been shown?” Clayton asked.

“I mean, no,” he then admitted.

“I think it was cyberbullying or assault,” Clayton described, “or it leads to cyberbullying.”

“And that’s why I’m not the biggest fan of how it was shown,” Clayton expressed.

“But it was and as you said,” he admitted.

Clayton said, “It’s just the nature of the beast.”

Clayton has a lot to think about here. Who will she send home at this rose ceremony?

“I’m not losing any more sleep at this point,” Clayton said then.

“If I start giving more power to people who are not interested in my passions,” he stated.

“And they’re just trying to pull me off the path I’m on now,” he continued, “and I’m full steam ahead.”

Clayton opined, “For me, it’s as simple as ignoring it.”

“Let it go because… I’m not going to give power to people who shouldn’t have power over me.”

If he doesn’t lose sleep over it, that sounds like a healthy worldview.
