City of San Diego’s redesigned “two-lane” road angers residents –

MIRA MESA (KUSI) – Believe it or not, this is a “two lane” road.

The Gold Coast Drive at Mira Mesa has been redesigned from the city of San Diego, with a lane in the middle and bike lanes on both sides.

Residents told KUSI’s Dan Plante that it’s not just a laugh, but they think the new plan is a lot more dangerous than it used to be. To make matters worse, the city of San Diego did not consult or notify anyone in the community before doing so.

According to KUSI’s Dan Plante, this is just the latest example from City, “Climate Action Gones Gone Wild”.

San Diego Democratic City Council nominee Tommy Hough thinks the redesign is absurd.

Plante says the Mira Mesa area is being used by the city of San Diego to experiment with its climate change initiatives.

The only Republican on the San Diego City Council, Chris Kate, represents the area and told KUSI that he was left out of this shocking redesign.

KUSI’s Dan Plante took a short video driving on the Gold Coast Drive, which you can see below:
