Authorities are investigating a car-to-car shooting that occurred on Interstate 10 in Fontana in the early morning hours of April 25.
There are no reports of injuries in connection with the incident.
At around 1:24 a.m., the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Area Office responded to a “shot” call at I-10 west near Citrus Avenue that included a gray Lexus RX-350 SUV and the victim’s vehicle. a gray Toyota Camry. .
Officers found the victim’s vehicle on Etiwanda Avenue, north of I-10, the CHP said.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the unidentified driver of the Lexus drove alongside Camry, fired an unknown number of shots in the direction of the victim’s vehicle, exited Cherry Avenue and fled the scene.
The victim went to Etiwanda, pulled to his right shoulder and contacted 911.
Officers found a bullet hole in Camry’s right rear door.
