Charlize Theron Rewrites Summer Hair Rules With a Brand New Color

When it comes to famous blondes, Charlize Theron is up with the tops. Whether in movies like Bomb, or the Dior ads that see him in gold from top to toe, he has long been attached to the shadow. But to prove that he can do everything in the color department, Theron just went to a party in California – with the help of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project – with new, almost black hair.

Darker hair for summer, we hear you say? Most people lighten up during the warmer months, but if anyone could make you do the opposite, it’s Theron, whose shoulder-grazing, jerky cut changed thanks to a new deep chocolate color. Previously a bright blonde, the new color highlighted Theron’s glassy green eyes and clear skin.

Although Theron rarely changes her hair color, she is some kind of chameleon in the operating room. Working with hairdresser Adir Abergel, she has tried buzz cuts, bowl cuts, jerky bobs and soft, longer lengths in the past – and all successfully.
