Charges filed against 17-year-old driver in fatal Lamborghini crash

Prosecutor charged a teenage driver involved on Wednesday Fast crash It killed a woman in western Los Angeles in February.

In a statement, Los Angeles County District Attorney spokesman Ricardo Santiago said his office could not release any further information because the case included a juvenile proceeding. The prosecution is scheduled for April 23.

According to Los Angeles Police Department Captain Brian Wendling, 32-year-old Monique Munoz was killed when a speed-violating Lamborghini crashed into a car at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Overland Avenue after 5 pm on February 17.

Her car was split in almost half.

According to the LAPD, a 17-year-old driver in Lamborghini, who was hospitalized for a non-life-threatening injury, was arrested on February 23 for manslaughter. Police did not reveal his identity because of his age.

According to Wendling, the teenager had a valid driver’s license at the time and alcohol and drugs did not appear to be the cause of the crash.

He said police did not believe the teen was a street race.
