Canadian Film Crew Robbed at Gunpoint Friday Night Atop Twin Peaks

SFPD reported that a group of filmmakers were robbed – in broad daylight – in Twin Peaks early Friday night. The video, uploaded to social media, shows an attacker pointing a gun at the victims while another criminal dumped the crew’s vehicle.

Originally reported by the ChronicleIt was revealed on Sunday that a film crew was robbed at gunpoint just before the weekend in Twin Peaks, according to local police. The newspaper reported San Francisco Police Officer Robert Rueca said the victims told officers at the scene they had been approached by gunmen, who later took all their filming equipment before fleeing the scene at around 6:16 p.m ; A video uploaded to Instagram shows the robbers quickly filling their getaway vehicle with crew equipment.

At least $35,000 worth of film equipment was stolen, according to IG’s caption. Much of the imagery and footage of the crew – who appeared to be Canadian, per NBC Bay Area — captured for the project was allegedly also lost as a result.

SFPD has no further details to share or were immediately made available, and an active investigation into the crime is ongoing.
