Sacramento, California (AP) — Governor of California Gavin Newsom wrote a children’s book about dyslexia.
The book, entitled “Ben & Emma’s Big Hit,” will be published on Tuesday.
The story of a boy who uses baseball to deal with dyslexia with the help of compassionate teachers and friends.
This book is a semi-autobiographical explanation of Newsom’s childhood.
Newsom learned that he had dyslexia at the age of 10.
He says it taught him to make him resilient and develop other strengths, including strong memories.
Newsam was urged to write a book after seeing some of his four children share some of the hardships he had.
