Bakersfield, CA (KGET) —California Resource Corporation has announced plans to dismiss some of its employees.
In a letter to Mayor Karen Goh, the oil and gas company said about 50 employees would be affected by the furlough as part of the ongoing restructuring resulting from the bankruptcy of Chapter 11.
The letter states that the expected permanent dismissal will affect employees at the CRC Plaza facility on Old River Road and other facilities in the Bakersfield area.
According to the company, employees receive a notice 60 days in advance. Employment at CRC ends after the notice payment period and you are eligible to receive severance pay at that time.
