California man ‘raped and disfigured 22-year-old roommate gouged out her eye’ may have MORE victims

A man accused of raping and abusing a woman he held in his prison California home for six months could have more victims, police warn.

Peter McGuire, 59, of Chino Hills, is accused of abusing his 22-year-old roommate, whom he allegedly raped, blindfolded, “turned off” her tongue and cut her nose, ear and lip.

The victim, 22, moved into McGuire’s home, but when she decided to leave, he refused to let her go and held her against her will, according to the LA Times.

McGuire has since pleaded not guilty to ten charges, including kidnapping, chaos and sodomy through the use of force.

Mara Rodriguez, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, told DailyMail.com that “investigators believe there may be additional victims.”

‘The update yesterday was to release [McGuire’s] photo to determine if there are any additional victims of which we are not aware, ‘said Rodriguez. “I do not know that there are any more casualties at the moment.”

McGuire is being held at her West Valley detention center and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 27, 2022.

Neighbors in the quiet residential cul-de-sac were horrified to learn of the ill-treatment going on behind closed doors.

One longtime neighbor, who asked not to be identified, told DailyMail.com, describing McGuire as a friendly guy who had lived on and off the property for at least ten years and regularly went through to do maintenance.

He said he had never seen evidence of girls going in or out.

Peter McGuire, 59, of Chino Hills, is accused of ‘turning off’ one of the victim’s eyes, such as ‘turning off’ her tongue and cutting her nose, ear and lip.

‘He would come and do maintenance on his house. I only saw him in his driveway when I saw him and he swung and I swung, ‘said the neighbor.

“He seemed good and nothing strange stood up to me to him,” he said.

He said McGuire had a detective agency and that he thought the three cars he kept in his driveway, one of which was a pick-up truck, were part of his business.

‘I’m very surprised Pete was involved. I heard he was in trouble, ‘said the neighbor, who described the cul-de-sac with about 10 homes in court as quiet. ‘Everyone keeps him to himself for the most part. I do not know what’s going on, but I think you can not rate a book on the cover. ‘

Another resident, who lives about a mile away from Cordovan Court, told the DailyMail.com she was ‘shocked’ by the news and described it as ‘scary’.

‘I’m shocked. It’s horrible. I feel so sorry for the young girl, ‘said the woman, who did not want to be identified. ‘We have parks and dog parks and it’s a very family-oriented, quiet area. That does not happen here. ‘

She added: ‘I’m glad he’s locked up now.

Another woman who lives a few houses away from McGuire told DailyMail.com that “she knew nothing and that she and her mother had just moved to court.”
