Caitlyn Jenner says she’ll take money from California’s bullet train project to finish Trump’s border wall

Los Angeles (KABC)-Reality check star and businessman Caitlyn Jenner is running for governor in a possible recall later this year in California.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s campaign linked Jenner and Donald Trump, but Kim Medalist says he tried to move away from the former president and didn’t vote for Trump in the 2020 elections.

“He did really good things in this state’s international economy. He did some good things. His message was terrible,” Jenner said.

When asked what kind of Republican she is, Jenner said, “I feel like the face of the Republican Party of the future. I want to bring the Republican Party to me and make it more comprehensive.”

Regarding immigration, Jenner said of Trump’s border wall:

“Currently, we spend billions of dollars on high-speed trains that go nowhere. We take some of that money, land on the border wall, and end up completely on state-owned land,” Jenner said. .. “Complete the walls. We need protection. But for the hard-working great people here, I want them to be able to gain legal status. “

In possible special elections, Republicans will need more support, not just Jenner, but the party’s base. In recent polls, the majority of Californians do not support Newsom’s recall. Recall will cost California taxpayers $ 215 million.

“Gavin Newsom did such a terrible job in the state. He spent more than $ 215 million on us in the state,” Jenner said. “We need to build an economy that is a professional business, and it has less taxes, less regulation, or, as you know, there are other states that do it in other ways, We will lose everything. “

Jenner says he’s not worried about how much COVID-19 has improved in California. California is one of the lowest levels of infection in the country and is not worried about how it can help Newsom.

“They really destroyed the whole generation of children. Parents, people aren’t going to forget that. 33% of all companies and restaurants here are completely closed. People Will not forget it, “Jenner said.

Jenner spends most of his 48 years in California and lives in Malibu. Malibu does not represent the economic and racial disparities of more than 40 million states. However, the 71-year-old is a man, enjoys traveling the state, and meets Californians of all backgrounds.

“I’ve experienced a lot in my life, OK. I had to overcome a lot,” Jenner said. “I may live in Malibu, but I had to deal with a lot in my life. I became a better person from the other side.”
