Meta asks employees to return to face-to-face work

Meta is the latest tech company to bring employees back to the office more than three years after the COVID-19 pandemic first forced many to adopt flexible work-from-home policies.

The internet giant, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has asked employees currently assigned to its offices to return to in-person work three days a week starting Sept. 5.

Meta-employees designated as remote workers can maintain their remote status.

A spokeswoman for Meta said in a statement to CNN that the company’s latest policy has not yet been finalized.
