Bomb squad on-site for a ‘suspicious device’ at a San Jose thrift store

San Jose, California (cron) — According to the San Jose Police Department, police forces and a bomb squad are at the site of the suspected device at a South Bay thrift store.

According to police, the device was found at the Salvation Army at 702 West Taylor Street in San Jose and several evacuations took place. Nearby streets are closed while SJPD investigates the device.

Police are asking residents to avoid the area so the work can be completed. As of 12:18 pm, bomb technicians were inspecting the device.
