The TVs I’ve tested so far haven’t offered this much image quality with this little cash. Thanks to that, the 2020 TCL 6 Series has even better image quality than its predecessor. Mini LED technology Well implemented Full array local dimming This will help you go around almost every other TV at this price. It also has gaming features, making it ideal for gaming TVs combined with the new THX mode. Low input lag And high contrast. As if that wasn’t enough, the RokuTV operating system is our uncontrollable favorite.

size: 55, 65, 75 inches.

2021 outlook: According to TCL, the TV will continue to be sold until most of 2021. I don’t expect it to be replaced at least until autumn. It may also be used throughout the year.Ann 85 inch version It will be released “within the next few months”. TCL will also sell 8K version of 6 series, But I don’t think it’s worth the money.

What do you say Can you afford whatever you want, just wanting the best TV? here you go. In my side-by-side testing, the LG G1 OLED TV is the best TV I’ve ever reviewed, with the best contrast in the world, perfect wide viewing angle, and excellent uniformity. This OLED TV barely surpasses the LG CX picture above, offering a slimmer, wall-friendly design. If you can afford it, this is the TV you should get.

size: 55, 65, 77 inches.

Now available for hundreds of dollars cheaper than the G1 above, and with about the same image quality, the 2020 CX is generally better for those who want a really great OLED TV but don’t have the money to burn it. It is an option. The G1 was slightly brighter in my measurements and the video processing was slightly better, but it was very difficult to tell the difference. The only real advantage of the G1 is its slim styling, but the CX itself is pretty slim.

size: 48, 55, 65, 77 inches.

2021 outlook: A new model, called the C1, is now available for hundreds more than the CX. I haven’t reviewed it yet. It adds a new 83 inch size, Some minor new features and improved processing But I think the image quality is almost the same as CX.

Looking for a great quality high end TV, do you need OLED? Samsung QN90A is your best bet. This TV uses QLED technology enhanced by mini LEDs to deliver brighter images than any OLED TV. The stunning contrast of OLEDs also won my side-by-side test, but the QN90AQ LED screen is closer than ever. It’s also a bit cheaper than the 2021 OLED TV (but not cheaper than the 2020 CX) and is available in a wide range of sizes.

size: 50, 55, 65, 75, 85 inches.

Roku is our favorite platform for live TV streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video, and is even better integrated into TV. This TCL4 series is second to none in terms of image quality. Its 4K resolution and HDR performance don’t help with images, but for most people, especially at this price, it’s perfectly fine.

size: 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 85 inches. (The prices below are for 43 inch size.)

With the exception of the TCL6 series above, this is the best TV of the money we have reviewed. The TCL is an overall good TV because it has better images and a better smart HDTV system, but it’s also more expensive. If you can’t afford the 6 Series, this Vizio is a very good choice.

size: 50, 55, 65 inches.

2021 outlook: The successor to this TV MQ7-J series.. It’s very similar on paper. The main difference is that there are many new voice remote controls and size choices. Shipped in July, the initial list price is significantly higher than the 2020 version, which is $ 200 to $ 300 higher, depending on size.

Vizio’s V Series is our favorite budget alternative to the TCL 4 Series Roku TV. Although I liked Roku’s smart TV system better (familiar with it?), The V Series has several advantages: Better remote with voice And more advanced Image settings.. The image quality of both is basically the same, so if you don’t like it, it makes sense to choose the cheapest one.

size: 43-, 50-, 55-, 58- 65-, 75 inches

Samsung is a TV brand that sells more TVs than anyone else, and one of the most popular is the Q60A series. Its sleek design stands out compared to other TVs on this list-although the ultra-thin OLED model is even more sophisticated-with better features and image quality than budget models like the TCL 4 series. We offer an array of sizes that have vast products. All of the above TVs are of great value, but if you need a Samsung TV and can’t buy the QN90A, this is for you.

size: 43-, 50-, 55-, 60- 65-, 70- 75-, 85 inches.

For those under 55 inches in size and those who value smartness over image quality, these non-4K Roku TVs make a lot of sense. The photos are “good enough” and the built-in smart is great-just enough to see the final season of “office” or “friends” content. It’s also the perfect price for kids’ rooms and secondary rooms that don’t require a large screen.

size: 28, 32, 40, 43, 49 inches. (The prices below are for 40-inch size.)

2021 outlook: The latest version of the 3 Series has a model number of “335” and is currently available in a 32-inch size, but according to TCL, the image quality is the same as the 325 seen here. My advice is simply to get the cheapest one.

Other things you need to know about buying a new TV in 2021

I’m sure I’m happy with one of the TVs above, but the new set can be a big investment, so you might be looking for a bit more information. Here is a simple and dirty list.

  • In my opinion, the bigger the better. Large TVs are cheaper than ever, and it’s best to spend money on large screen sizes rather than slightly upgrading image quality.
  • If you don’t like the built-in smart TV system, you can always add a Roku, Amazon, Google, or Apple streaming device. They are generally cheap and easy to use and receive updates more often than most smart TVs.See recommendations The best streaming device here..
  • The sound quality of most built-in speakers is terrible, so it’s worth pairing a new set with a soundbar or other speaker system. Good things start at around $ 100. See the best soundbars here..
