Benicia High School softball team wins first-place showdown with College Park – Times-Herald

The Benicia High softball team advanced 10-2 on Tuesday after four innings on their way to a 10-6 win over College Park visitors in a Diablo Athletic League match.

The win breaks the three-way tie for first place with Benicia and Clayton Valley, now the only DAL team with a league defeat. These two teams will last play on May 3rd.

The Panthers (13-5, 6-1) had a third of five runs and a fourth of four to take control of the Falcons (13-6-1, 6-2).

Emma French was 3 out of 3 with one home and four RBIs. Denise Pauletich had a 2-4 home run and two with RBI and Kyra Mason scored 2-3 and two.

Braxton Brown made seven innings on the circle, took eight and won three runs. He had two walks for Benicia, which is Thursday at Northgate.
