Bayonetta 3 Gets Oct. 28 Release Date on Nintendo Switch, New Trailer

Bayonetta 3 got a new trailer and a release date of October 28th On Wednesday. The action game is exclusive to Nintendo Switch and available for pre-order for $60.

The trailer reveals Bayonetta’s Demon Channeling ability, Demon Masquerade, and new ally Viola.

“The cheekiest Umbra Witch is back and ready to face off against artificial bioweapons known as homunculi,” Nintendo said of the game.

Developer PlatinumGames also highlighted the “Naive Angel Mode” that you can activate hide some of the risky elements of the game.

“If you turn it on, you can play right in the living room without worrying about what’s on the screen… we think,” it wrote in a tweet.

The game will always a special “Trinity Masquerade Edition”, which will include a 200-page art book and showcases for the entire trilogy (it doesn’t include the first two games though). The original Bayonetta will also be released physically on September 30th (it was previously only available as a digital download on Switch) – both it and the Trinity Masquerade Edition will be available through select retailers and the My Nintendo Store.

The first Bayonetta originally came out in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360 before later coming to Wii U. The second game was originally released on Wii U only in 2014, and both games were re-released on Switch in 2018. The third game was already announced in 2017.
