Authorities are tracking stolen vehicles in the San Fernando Valley area Thursday afternoon.
When Sky5 arrived at the top of the scene, the white Ford Edge was moving through Burbank around 3:55 pm.
The vehicle headed south on the 5th highway, past Glendale to Los Angeles. The highway had moderate traffic and patrol vehicles were able to follow immediately behind.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s aviation unit reported that there were passengers in the vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.
Just before 4:10 pm, another vehicle in front of the stolen Ford stopped on the freeway, and Ford stopped behind four patrol units. But the driver of the stolen car then continued to orbit around the car.
Police succeeded in laying spike strips and the car stopped. The passengers then raised their hands and got out of the car and surrendered to the police on the five freeways southbound near the stadium way.
A few minutes later, four policemen approached the car, opened the front door, and pulled the driver out of the car.The barefoot woman appeared to be resisting as police dragged her out and detained her at around 4:18 pm
