Don’t you like to just talk about “LOVE?” Some would say, “Yes.” And I like to talk about love. “(This one acquires a romantic sound).

These two expressions, using the word “love”, take on different meanings. Even if it is something that can be considered terrible, people like to talk about it and express their feelings about anything that is terrible. This is freedom of speech.

Some people would say, “I love imperialism.” Others may say, “I love communism.” Others might say, “I love capitalism.” “I love liberalism.” “I like to hate.” “I love atheism.” “I love Christianity.” Whatever the case, there may be someone or some people who love it.

But what about God? What is he saying? Let’s look at the ultimate meaning of love. There are writings that testify to Jehovah’s definition of Jehovah God and His way of loving.

Deuteronomy 6: 5 – [And you shall love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.]; 10:12 And now, Israel, what is it doingMy Godyour God requires of you, but to be afraid (reverence, reverence) ofMy Godyour God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve HimMy Godyour God with all your heart and with all your soul; 11: 1 [Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always., 11:13 [And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken (listen) diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,, 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him. ]

Okay, that’s enough to prove my point, I hope convincingly. Matthew 5:17 says Jesus came to his senses perform The law. Some time ago I was wondering what this means? The answer is right here in front of you.

The word perform can be confusing. It explains that Jesus came to fulfill the law completely. You remember that God sent His only and only Son to save the whole world. Jesus came down from heaven to earth as a man. He was “God incarnate.” He was here on earth as God in the flesh. He was completely God and completely human.

As a man, He had feelings and emotions (He wept for Lazarus) and voluntarily gave His life for us. He came not only to perform The law and the prophecies, He came perform through His actions and sufferings and to fulfill perfect obedience to God’s law in His own person and to impose and explain it fully through His teaching.

Therefore, He has fully fulfilled the requirements of the law. Remember that God said that the law is too difficult for man to fully observe all these laws. But God had one (His Son) who could fulfill this difficult task of complete obedience, die, be resurrected.

1 Corinthians 13, the chapter on “love,” talks about how love does not behave inappropriately, and love is the main emotion and characteristic that is highest. He fulfilled the law by demonstrating healings, His providential speech, and His supreme wisdom.

Do you remember after His resurrection, when He was walking with two others on the road to Emmaus, He revealed everything to Himself about Himself in the Old Testament and about the prophets? Everything that the law represented, Jesus fulfilled.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. There is no way around him. We must pass through Him to reach our already preserved and prepared heavenly mansion for each of His children.

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.”
