Armed woman robs employee at Rolando nail salon, flees on bicycle

A woman with a masked gun robbed an employee and ran away by bicycle at a nail salon in Roland’s strip mall on Wednesday night, according to San Diego police.

At around 7:35 pm, John Battle officer said when a woman stepped into the Paint Nail Lounge at El Cajon Boulevard, just west of 70th Avenue, demanding cash from an employee and pulling out a gun. Said.

Employees handed out a private amount accordingly, Battle said. The bandits then jumped on their bikes through the parking lot of Hallmark Square Strip Mall, which also has businesses such as Papa John’s and a laundromat. She was finally seen heading to El Cajon Boulevard.

Based on witnesses’ explanations, Battle described the robbers as Hispanic, in his early thirties, about 5 feet 3 inches and weighing about 175 pounds. She wore a gray hoodie, black trousers, black shoes and a black mask.

The robbery detective was investigating, Battle said.
